Marley - Art

Marley - Art Image

"I feel like I have grown tremendously as a student and young person this year because of how I've been taught to deal with my emotions and also how much I've learnt in every subject."

"I have grown as a person massively because I have interacted with different people and I know how to be."

"The most inspiring part of the job is sitting alongside students as they make art."

"The most exciting thing in Year 7 has been making friends. It made me feel I could fit in and loved around people. I gained people I could trust and talk to, making me feel less nervous."

"Members of staff are friendly and very supportive. HBAED is an exceptional place to work, and I enjoy being part of this outstanding community."

"This is a school where staff support one another and work as a team at every level. We share a strong dedication to helping the boys succeed academically and grow into thoughtful, respectful young men, and I’m proud to be a part of it."

"The teachers were very welcoming and understood how I felt in this new environment. I feel I have grown in confidence and resilience."

"The teachers are really kind to me and everyone, because they really care that you learn. The canteen is really big too and the food is really good."

"My Art GCSE really helped open up my interest in Art and gave me the tools and techniques to support my work, but most importantly I was really enjoying the time I spent on it." Former student, Marley, on why he chose Art GCSE and where it took him.

A-Level results Day - Aug 2026

With the popularity of the Sixth Form continuing to grow, the largest ever cohort of students completed a wide range of A Level and vocational qualifications this summer. Over 60% of the cohort will take up Russell Group offers at University next year, with all students continuing into employment, training or further education.

There are so many success stories, but the highlights for A Levels are David, who achieved A*AA in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and will go onto study Medicine at Exeter University.

Michael also achieved A*AA in English Literature, History and Law as well a Distinction in ICT. Michael will study Law at Queen Mary University.

Nirojan achieved AAB in Computer Science, Maths and Economics and will now study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Warwick.

Many of our students benefit from our variety of subjects on offer, and complete combinations of A Levels and vocational qualifications.

The ability to study such a range of mixed pathways is a real unique selling point for our Sixth Form.

Khryn achieved Distinction* and AA in Business, Economics and Sociology. Khyrn has secured a full scholarship place at the University of Reading to study Real Estate and Finance.

Kyrell M. achieved AB and a Distinction in History, Law and Applied Science, and will study Law at Queen Mry University.

Hamza achieved Distinction* and AB in Business, Maths and Economics and will study Political Economy at Kings College London.

From our vocational courses, Ellias and Daniyal both achieved triple Distinction* in Business and ICT. They both will now study Business Management at Queen Mary University.

Many of our students have also been successful in gaining much coveted apprenticeships with Mitchell securing the standout place at Tokio Marine Kiln as an Underwriting Apprentice. These places are so highly sought after, the application and interview process is extremely competitive and rigorous.

We are so proud of the achievements of our Sixth Form students!
