Day Of Languages Celebrated At HBAED
To celebrate The Day of Languages on the 26th September, Years 7, 8 and 9 researched and created projects about a country anywhere in the world and the language spoken there, which they then presented in their Spanish lessons that week.
The students focused on the key aspect of Cultural Discovery to explore any aspect of culture, with the only rule being that students had to include examples of the language in their presentation.
Students showed their creative flair with beautifully-crafted posters and their ICT skills with engaging PowerPoint presentations.
We learned about different languages, ways of life, famous monuments, historic events, famous people and (mostly) food from countries such as Italy, Greece, Venezuela, Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria, Japan, China, The Philippines and many more.
Cultural Discovery is a key component of the MFL curriculum and students enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate diversity.
