UCAS Discovery Event at London's ExCel Centre
I had the pleasure of accompanying a group of Sixth Formers to the UCAS Discovery event in London on 27th March, held at the ExCeL exhibition centre and attended by thousands of students from all over the country.
The aim of the event was to provide students with information about universities, courses and career options, as well as the opportunity to speak with representatives from universities and industry professionals.
The event provided a great opportunity for students to learn more about their future career prospects. There were numerous stands representing universities, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who were eager to answer questions and provide information about courses and requirements. Students were able to pick up prospectuses, brochures and other useful information about each university they were interested in.
The event also provided an opportunity for students to attend talks and presentations on various topics, including applying to university, choosing a course, and career options. The talks were informative and engaging, and gave students a valuable insight into the university application process and what to expect from their chosen course.
Overall, the UCAS discovery event was a valuable experience for our Sixth Formers. It provided them with a wealth of information about universities and career options, and helped them to make more informed decisions about their future. The event was also a great opportunity for students to network with professionals and learn about different industries. I would highly recommend this event to any Sixth Form students who are considering their university options.
