HBAED Celebrates A-Level Success
Students at Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich are today celebrating a strong set of A Level and vocational course results enabling over 90% of students to go on to university or take up degree apprenticeships.
There were some exceptional individual successes including:
- Gabriel who achieved two As and a B and will now go to Queen Mary University of London to study Accounting and Finance
- Damien who achieved a triple Distinction* – the highest grade in vocational courses – and will now go to St Mary’s University to study Sport and Exercise Science
- Mohi who also achieved a triple Distinction* and will now go to the University of Westminster to study Software Engineering
- David who achieved two Distinction*s and a Distinction and will now go to the University of Kent to study Software Engineering with a year in industry
- Nehemiah who acheived DDD in Sport and Business and will go to University of Leicester to study Business Management.
“We are really proud of all our students who have overcome so many challenges during their education to end up with wonderful outcomes," said Chris Brett, Head of the Academy. "Our Sixth Form is such a diverse mixture of students from different backgrounds who have all pulled together to create an inspiring place to learn.
"We must say a big thank you all our staff at the school, as well as our parents who have supported the students every step of the way. We hope now after their educational journey with us, students will go out into the world and achieve great things.”
Over 90% of students who received their results today will go on to university or take up degree apprenticeships.
