Exploring Innovation with Meta in King’s Cross

Our Sixth Form students embarked on an exciting journey to Meta's cutting-edge office in King's Cross, immersing themselves in a day filled with insights, technology, and networking opportunities.

The visit kicked off with a panel event where industry experts shed light on the latest trends and innovations. Students had the unique chance to engage in meaningful conversations and gain valuable perspectives from professionals at the forefront of technology.

One highlight of the visit was an exclusive peek into the Meta ELEVATE mentoring programme, where students had the opportunity to hear about its impactful initiatives. The programme aims to elevate individuals by fostering mentorship relationships, providing a glimpse into the possibilities of personal and professional growth.

The futuristic aspect of the day unfolded as students eagerly tested Meta's newest virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) headsets. These cutting-edge devices transported them to immersive worlds, showcasing the incredible potential of augmented reality in various fields.

Adding a stylish twist to technology, students also got hands-on experience with the latest Meta Ray-Bans, blending fashion with augmented reality seamlessly. This fusion of style and innovation left a lasting impression on our students, sparking curiosity about the future possibilities of wearable technology.

The networking opportunity was a key component of the visit, allowing our students to connect with professionals from Meta and other participants. This first-hand interaction not only expanded their professional networks but also provided valuable insights into potential career paths within the rapidly evolving tech industry.

As our Sixth Form students returned from Meta's office, they carried with them a deeper understanding of the tech landscape, insights from industry leaders, and a taste of the ground-breaking advancements Meta is spearheading.
