We are thrilled to share the exciting news of our school's debating team making waves at the recent debate competition held at Sydenham High.

The event, which brought together schools from across South-East London, provided a platform for our talented debaters to showcase their skills and engage in intellectual battles with their peers.

The competition saw 12 of our best debaters rise to the occasion, demonstrating not only their eloquence but also their critical thinking abilities. The team, comprised of dedicated and passionate students, tackled thought-provoking topics ranging from the merits of reality TV to the prospect of curfews for teenagers.

Throughout the rounds, our debaters faced tough opponents, but they remained resilient, relying on their thorough research, teamwork, and effective communication strategies. The atmosphere was tense as they presented well-reasoned arguments, countered opposing viewpoints, and delivered compelling closing statements.

What truly set our debating team apart was their ability to articulate their thoughts clearly and persuasively, earning them accolades from both judges and audience members alike.
