Support Mr Edwards As He Runs London Marathon for HBAED

EdwadsOn Sunday 21st April, Mr Edwards, one of our PE teachers, is running the London Marathon and hoping to raise £2,500 for a special Sensory Room at HBAED.

Mr Edwards came up with the idea to fundraise for the Sensory Room after talking to HBAED's amazing Inclusion Team. It will be a quiet space for students to take time of out lessons, receive therapy and detach from the daily stresses of school life.

"I know first hand how integral support is in school for pupils with additional needs," said Mr Edwards. "My amazing nephew Hayden, who has cerebral palsy and global learning delay, is always grateful when I speak to him about the amazing levels of care and attention that his teacher and support staff provide for him.

"Knowing this, I would love to be able to help some of our most vulnerable students have an even better school experience by installing a sensory room at Harris Boys'."

Many thanks to all the staff that have donated so far, we really appreciate it and Mr Edwards says it is keeping him motivated to push on with his training!
