Physical Theatre Workshop for Year 10 Drama Students
Multi-award-winning theatre companies Good Chance and Gecko are creating a groundbreaking performance involving over 200 young people across the UK and Europe.
This innovative project highlights children's right to safety, emphasising protection for all children, regardless of their background or origin. The performance will take place in public spaces, spreading this vital message far and wide.
On Thursday, 23rd May, Harris Boys' Year 10 GCSE Drama students had the opportunity to participate in a physical theatre workshop based on Gecko's practices. The workshop began with engaging games and then moved into collaborative activities where students created short sequences together using bamboo sticks. The boys loved every minute of the workshop, finding it particularly exciting due to their previous exploration of Frantic Assembly.
If selected, these students will have the chance to perform in the immersive showcase on 6th and 8th September 2024. Good Chance and Gecko are looking for more young participants for this unique and impactful project, inviting passionate young people to join and make a difference.
This great opportunity was organised by Ms Estrella, Teacher of Drama.
