A Spectacular Summer Concert Wows the Community
On the evening of July 10th, our school hosted a fantastic summer concert, organised with meticulous care and passion by the ever-dedicated Ms Bee.
The event was a resounding success, showcasing the immense talent of students from Years 7-12 and leaving the audience in awe of their musical prowess.
The concert featured a diverse array of performances, from soulful solos to dynamic group pieces, demonstrating the hard work and dedication of our young musicians. A highlight of the evening was the dynamic choir, a collaboration between our boys and the talented girls from Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich. This powerful ensemble was led by Harris Girls' fantastic music teacher, Ms Stewart, whose expertise and enthusiasm brought a new level of excellence to the performance.
A special thank you goes out to our peri teachers, whose guidance and expertise have been instrumental in nurturing the talents of our students. Their commitment to excellence was evident in every performance.
As the evening drew to a close, the community took a moment to bid a heartfelt farewell to Mr. Mosley, who will be leaving us at the end of this term. Mr. Mosley has been a cornerstone of our music department, and his departure marks the end of an era. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his invaluable contributions over the years.
Ms. Bee expressed her deep gratitude to all the staff who supported the event, the students who participated, and, most importantly, our supportive parents. The collective effort and enthusiasm of everyone involved made the concert a true celebration of our school's vibrant musical culture.
Looking ahead, Ms. Bee is already planning the next exciting events: the highly anticipated Christmas Showcase and the grand production of Matilda. These upcoming performances promise to be just as spectacular, continuing the tradition of excellence in our school's performing arts.
