HBAED Students Win Christie's Art Event

A select group of Year 9 Art students were chosen to represent our Academy last Friday July 12th at Harris Falconwood. Following an event earlier in the term at Christie's Auction House, students were tasked with making an artwork about the theme Hope. 

Focussing on the diversity, vibrance and complex history of Peckham, students worked together on a street-art inspired collage which reflected their hopes and desires for their neighbourhood and communities.

The artwork was presented at Harris Falconwood as part of the Harris Christie's Art Auction. Out of the 15 academies present, our students won the award for best artwork, and even had some educators in attendance wishing to buy the work. This was a wonderful experience for our students, each of whom represented the school brilliantly, with Orobosa even speaking in front of auditorium full of students and guests.
