Rennaisance Day, Tues 24 November - What's Happening?
Renaissance Days form an important part of our curriculum offer to students. The days are entirely focused on Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education, Religious Studies and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural education objectives in order to give our students an understanding of the wider world and to enjoy new experiences outside of the normal school timetable.

All teachers within the Academy have an input on these days from planning trips or sessions to delivering content aligned with our PSHCE/SMSC objectives.
They are used to enrich prior learning in the Academy or to stimulate interest in something that is going to be covered within subjects during normal school time, for example when the Science department led a trip to a zoo to enrich prior learning that students had about adaptation to environment.
The Renaissance days play a vital role in enriching the study of PSHCE and Religious Studies, and allow students to experience something new and exciting while reinforcing past learning.
