Mentoring Programme: Evolve Into a Tech Career

Our Year 12 students recently had the fantastic opportunity to participate in an exclusive Microsoft workshop, hosted by Thamim and Iria.

This event was designed to introduce students to the exciting world of technology careers while equipping them with valuable digital and professional skills.

The workshop provided students with insights into various tech career pathways, from software development and cybersecurity to AI and cloud computing. Thamim and Iria shared their career journeys, offering invaluable advice on how to break into the industry and develop the skills needed to succeed.

Hands-on learning

Students engaged in interactive activities, exploring key tech concepts and gaining practical experience with Microsoft tools. From problem-solving exercises to coding challenges, these sessions helped students understand how technology is shaping the future.

Mentorship and guidance

One of the key highlights was the mentoring programme, where Thamim and Iria provided one-on-one guidance. Students had the opportunity to ask career-related questions, receive CV and interview tips, and learn how to build a strong professional network.

Inspiring Future Tech Leaders

The workshop left students motivated and excited about potential careers in tech. Many expressed interest in internships, apprenticeships, and further studies in technology-related fields.
