Football - HBAED 1 Sacred Heart 8
On Tuesday, the Year 9 team played a friendly match against Sacred Heart School. This was their first match under new manager Mr Miller. Sacred Heart started strong with three early goals and looked a threat down both wings.
6-0 down at the half meant things tactically needed changing. Both Tyler and Mohammed came into the midfield and showed great energy and ability. In the second half Harley started to dominate in defence and improve his distribution. With HBAED showing more desire through a fantastic pressing game, we managed to claw back a goal from a brilliant finish from Mohammed.
HBAED just didn’t have the physical presence to beat a very well organised Sacred Heart team. The match ended 8-1 which means back to the training ground on Wednesday in preparation for our next game.
Man of the Match: Mohammed came on to show good ability and desire in the centre of the park. This resulted in scoring our only goal of the game.
Stepping up: Alpha came on up front and showed great desire. Never giving up, he led from the front and encouraged his teammates.
