Harris Cup Semi Final - Harris Chobham 0 HBAED 1
Our Year 10 boys put out an incredible defensive display to seal their place in the Harris Cup final.
Accomponied by Mr Nowers, we took the long drive out to Chobham, who had previously knocked us out in the semi finals of the Fulham FC tournament.
Attacking play
The game got off to a flying start with both teams producing some incredible attacking football. It would be no exaggeration to say if it wasn’t for the outstanding goalkeeping of George we could have been 4-0 down in the first ten minutes.
Then the moment of the game: we broke fast with John leaving their left back dizzy, he produced a delightful pass to Mukthar who slotted cooly in the bottom corner to give us the lead.
Barrage
From there we simply had to hold the lead. Easier said than done from our boys, with Dexter, Jordan and Ibrahim winning everything as the barrage of attacks came from Chobham.
Arron and Amine were holding us solid on the right wing, whilst Yaya stepped up a year group and gave us a solid outlet on the left, winning some incredible challenges to help us on to victory.
Tyrell produced his usual class in centre midfield, whilst Gibril put in a physical display in his CDM role. The final whistle went to absolute relief from us.
We go to Crystal Palace sports stadium on Monday night to play either Beckenham or Greenwich.
Man of the Match: Difficult to pick between George and Jordan. Both were exceptional in keeping the clean sheet.
Stepping up: Yaya is becoming a legend in this team. Stepped up and gave us the solidity at the back we needed.
