Football - Year 7 - Oasis 2 HBAED 5
After being dumped out of the Harris Cup in the cruellest way possible on Tuesday, the Year 7 football team travelled to Oasis Academy for the first round of the South London Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
This game was going to be a real test of character. HBAED started well like they always do. Ramari cut in from the wing, sending an unstoppable shot via the post and in putting Dulwich 1-0 up after two minutes.
Oasis did pull a goal back but HBAED learnt from their mistakes and were not up for taking their foot off the pedal today.
Lemar led the HBAED line well and scored another two excellent goals. The tireless Tayo in centre midfield added a fourth following a well taken corner.
However, Oasis started to play some good passing football and created a number of chances. In only his second appearance for HBAED, Manuel Nour in goal produced a series of incredible saves at the feet of the Oasis strikers. Oasis managed to snatch a fourth goal before Joseph added a fifth goal for HBAED and put the game to bed.
Special mentions must go to Jason who came on at left wing and caused the Oasis defenders countless problems. Matthew ‘Vardy’ also came on, hassling defenders and was unlucky not to score. Larry produced a much better display at centre back.
Please congratulate the boys if you see them around the school and wish them luck for their Inner London Cup game on Friday!
