Geography Model Making for Years 7 and 8

Geography model makingCreative home work, such as model making, is often set in Geography.

Year 7s have created urban land use models and a model of a sustainable home.

Our Year 8 students have created models of coral reefs. These projects not only allow students to explore their creative side in the context of Geography, they also allow students to develop their resourcefulness and resilience.

A Year 8 student made a fantastic model of a coral reef which used material found around the home and from his father’s building yard. The creativity and ingenuity involved was brilliant and the student (and his family) came away with a deeper knowledge and understanding of the delicate coral reef ecosystem.
