First Students Reach 5,000 Harris Points
Desaan, Bobby, Axel, Mahmud, Jordy and Hassan are pictured with Head of Academy Peter Groves having a special breakfast to celebrate being the first students at the school to reach 5,000 Harris Points and therefore receive a Silver Award.
Students who get 5,000 points receive a 'star performance' lapel badge, an invitation to a 'celebration of success' evening, a £10 book token, and a chance to skip the lunch queue too. Well done boys!
“We’ve created a ‘Positive Pathway’ at HBAED to recognise those pupils that regularly show a thirst for learning in the classroom and display exemplary conduct around the academy,” said Assistant Principal Harry Ingham. “We believe that students should be rewarded when they consistently exhibit HBAED values.”
Jordy says: "I'm very proud of my silver badge. Now I want to get 6000 points!"
