Progress 8 Score Puts HBEAD in Top 150
Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich is in the top 150 schools in England for pupil progress, according to the Department for Education (DfE).
Our Progress 8 score of 0.81 means we are ranked 130th out of 3,500 secondary schools in England, according to the Key Stage 4 results recently published by the DfE. It also means we are in the top 3% of schools in the country this year; the sixth year in a row we have been in the top 5%.
"This is another tremendous achievement by our students, staff, parents/carers working together," said Principal Peter Groves. "It shows how much can be achieved by a 'no excuses' culture and an absolute belief in the ability of every student to shine – no matter what their background, ability or character."
Our Progress 8 score was also the fourth highest in Southwark. View our page in the Department for Education performance tables.
Our Attainment 8 score of 55 is our best yet and means that our students are gaining higher grades, on average, when compared to the national picture by almost one grade per subject (based on previous years).
Levels in English and Mathematics have also outshone the national picture as well as previous HBAED cohorts. 72% of students gained at least a level 4 in both subjects and 50% of students gained at least a 5 in both subjects.
