Sixth Form Discuss Knife Crime in Special Session
Last week our Sixth Form had a special session discussing the issue of knife crime that is affecting London so much at present. The session was delivered by PC Marcus, our Safer Schools Police Officer (pictured below), who told our students that the number of murders in London by November 2018 exceeded those of 2017 as a whole.
"At Harris Boys’ Academy, we are doing what we can to support the community, our students and their families by educating the students on the dangers of crime in London," said David O’Leary, Assistant Principal, Head of Sixth Form. "This was an excellent event that students found engaging, interesting and thought-provoking. It helps remind our young people in the community about being safe when outside of school."
A special thank you to PC Marcus for his time preparing and delivering such an important event for our students.
