Sixth Form Visit Skills London Careers Fair
Jahray, Year 12, on our recent Sixth Form trip to the Skills London Careers Fair.
On Friday 23rd November, Year 12 students and I had the opportunity to attend a careers fair at the ExCeL London centre.
This was a fantastic event where students had the rare opportunity to approach over 250 exhibitors, most of them being universities and apprenticeship providers, and ask questions on how best to pursue their chosen career.
As someone who was unsure about which career path to take, I found this to be a really useful experience. The event opened my mind to the vast amount of options I have and informed me about career choices I did not know even existed! I now have a number of opportunities I am looking into and I am really excited about exploring the idea of working in IT and becoming a software analyst.
For every student, it is really important to have an idea on a career path, which is why I am very grateful for this incredibly beneficial trip. Thank you to Skills London and ExCeL London for putting on such an informative and valuable event.
