Day Four

Day 4 was the eagerly awaited trip to Thorpe Park. Despite traffic, we managed to get ourselves up and out on time and get to the park well before opening. A credit to the students' organisation skills.

We were first in line for all of the best rides, including terrifying roller coasters such as Swarme, Nemesis Inferno, Collosus, Saw and many others. Some students were also brave enough to go on the tidal wave over and over again. We were lucky with the weather and spent some of the day in sunshine with no showers.... Please see photos below of what we were able to take when we weren't on the rides ourselves.

Followed by a disco. Please see updates tomorrow for our final morning on the trip where we are going bowling in Croydon.

Day Three

We woke up on day three of the Uber trip to very heavy rain. Despite that, we made our way out to Dover for the Port Lyme Safari Park. Luck was on our side as we pulled up and the rain stopped.

The safari park was an amazing experience. It is split up into three different sections: South America, Asia and the main section, Africa. The highlight of this tour was the giraffes who literally put their heads inside the trucks that were taking us. Please see below for some amazing pictures of the guided tour.

The students were in the carnivore part. Here they went for a walk and they got to see the tigers, leapords and cheetahs as well as many other. This was an amazing experience for the students and they got to take the walk around at their own pace. We were then in the gift shop where the staff commented again on the very good manners of our students!

Day one

We met at our academies this morning and took the one hour drive to Surrey where we arrived at our rustic barn. After some time unpacking the students were in the games room and some even enjoying a morning disco.

We then took the trip out to Splash World where the students were all over the water slides and in the pools. All the students had a great time and really enjoyed it.

As we left the weather brightened up and we decided to stop off at Box Hill, one of the amazing areas of outstanding beauty in Surrey. We had the footballs out and the students were enjoying themselves. Please see the amazing photos below.
