Restaurant Manager Matt Segal Inspires Boys to Run their Own Business
Boys in Years 8 and 10 had the pleasure of listening to an inspirational talk on entrepreneurship from Matt Segal, the manager of up-market restaurant Frederick’s in Islington.
Matt (pictured below) shared his personal story with the boys and the challenges he faces in leading a team of 60 people. He then hosted a 30 minute Q&A session where the boys asked questions such as ‘What is difficult about your job?’ and ‘How will Brexit impact your business?’.
One of the Year 8 boys said: “I found it so interesting to learn about the opportunities and challenges of running your own business. I definitely want to be an entrepreneur when I leave school.”
The boys left the talk enthused at the prospect of developing their own business ideas in their Dragons Den workshops that take place on Friday the 19th of July.
