Daily Dismissal & Bus Stops - Info For Parents
Dear Parents/Carers,
Daily dismissal from Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich/conduct to and from the academy.
I am writing to inform you of the procedures for the dismissal of students from Harris Boys’ Academy each day. Following government guidance, dismissal times are staggered so that year group bubbles do not overlap. With this in mind it is necessary for students in each year bubble to use different bus stops so that they do not mix with other year groups while waiting. Further to government guidance we are encouraging students to walk or cycle to the academy where possible. All measures detailed within this letter are designed to support the health, wellbeing and safety of students, their families and the wider community.
Which bus stop should my son/ward use?
On dismissal, students in Years 7, 9 and 10 will be directed from Friern Road towards Barry Road so that they can get to their designated bus stops. Students in Year 8 and 11 will be directed to the bus stops nearest to their dismissal gate (Peckham Rye).
Conduct to and from the academy
On dismissal from the academy students should go straight home each day and avoid congregating outside. Students should not attend local shops or businesses as this will increase the potential for contact between different groups. By following these clear protocols, we will support each other and our local community in our efforts to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Failure to follow these instructions will be dealt with through the HBAED Behaviour for Learning Policy.
Thank you very much for your continued support in these challenging times.
