Prof Martin Marshall Inspires Aspiring Medics
Twenty five students from Year 9 and 10 were inspired to further their ambitions to enter the medical profession by Professor Martin Marshall, Chairman of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Professor Marshall’s current work usually involves speaking to the media and politicians about how to tackle the current Covid crisis. Therefore, our boys were fortunate to hear directly from the nation’s most senior GP at this most challenging of times.
The boys loved the stories of Martin's impact on past patients as well as hearing about his views on current issues such as the Covid vaccine.
A Year 9 student said: "It was great to hear that education never stops and that short-term failure does not prevent long-term success." The boys left the session full of ideas on the next steps they need to take to fulfil their ambitions of entering the medical profession.
