Year 7 Active Citizens Enterprise Day
Just before the Christmas Holidays, our Year 7s participated in an Active Citizens Day.
On the day the boys received an inspirational talk from entrepreneur Mark Jenner, co-founder of Beeline, who shared his experiences of appearing on BBC TV show Dragons Den and running a tech-start-up. He stressed the importance of team-work and presentation skills in running a successful business.
The boys had the opportunity to put Mark’s message into practice, by having to design their own board-game and then pitch their idea to their teachers, who were the ‘Dragons’ for the day.
A huge well-done to all the boys who presented a range of exciting and creative ideas. Our Active Citizens Days give our boys the opportunities to develop our key characteristics of Confidence, Curiosity, Respect, Resilience and Ambition.
“It was great to to see the boys demonstrate such confidence in the Q&A session," said Mark Jenner. "I have no doubts that, if the boys continue to develop their career ambitions, many of them will be the entrepreneurs of the future!”.
