Opportunity Oxford - Aiming for Oxford University
At Harris Boys' Academy, one of our five key Active Citizens character traits is "ambition" and we support and encourage all our students to aim high.
This week we are focusing on the University of Oxford. Our talented and ambitious students - some of whom might be a bit worried about whether they will "fit in" at such a prestigious university - are learning about a special programme called Opportunity Oxford which has been set up to help students from diverse backgrounds to go to Oxford University.
Click HERE to learn more about this programme and to hear from other students who have followed this route, or watch the film below.
To be eligible for Opportunity Oxford, students will be on track to meet the academic requirements of their chosen Oxford course and will come from either an area with low progression to higher education or an area of socio-economic disadvantage, or both.
