Class 7B1 Tops Harris Federation League Table for Bedrock Learning
One of our Year 7 classes has topped the league table for the whole Harris Federation for their engagement with Bedrock Learning.
Class 7B1 completed more Bedrock Learning lessons and gained more points on Bedrock than any other class within the Federation in April.
Bedrock Learning is a student-friendly online literacy platform that helps students learn new vocabulary while reading interesting content about everything from the Vikings to space travel.
“As a school we have had some very good Bedrock results for April and having the top class in the whole Federation is wonderful!" said Ms George. "We are all striving to achieve the very best of our students when it comes to improving their reading and expanding their vocabulary because we know these are the bedrock of learning."
Year 8 make Bedrock Books
Year 8 students have been taking their Bedrock homework seriously too, creating Bedrock Books where they collate the new vocabulary and review it daily. This is Mosa's book!
Win £10 vouchers
Every boy at HBAED also stands a chance of winning a £10 voucher this half term in the Bedrock Learning competition.
All boys need to do is successfully complete two Bedrock lessons per week this half term. There will be 50 vouchers awarded at each Harris Federation school so there's a good chance boys can win one – but only if they earn 120 Bedrock points this half term.
Parents can log on to Bedrock Learning too, to check on their son’s progress. If you need help logging in to the parent area of Bedrock simply email Ms George on l.george@harrisdulwichboys.org.uk
