Year 9 Gardening Club in Full Bloom
Gardening Club is a group of students who have been growing fruit, vegetables and other plants on the school site.
Meeting weekly, we grow a wide variety of plants and are always on the lookout for how we can be more conscious of our environment and improving it for everyone through gardening.
"It's been great working this this group of Year 9s, who have taken gardening club and really got it going through their commitment, ideas and energy," says Mr Hodgson.
"Personally, I’m really looking forward to seeing what students will do with the gardening club next year and to see more people grow and bloom as gardeners."
Pedro, Year 9, recommends gardening club, urging students to "join Mr Hodgson and co and plant your spot in this group and help take care of plants from the Sizeable Squash to the Minuscule Microgreens. Water, feed and maybe even eat the plants, such as the peas. Take some fresh air high above on the balcony and enjoy your stay."
Mr Ingham is especially impressed with these efforts - in fact has used the spare sweet peas to improve his own garden!
