'Standing Firm' - Exploring The Impact of Caribbean Migration On British Football
Our students joined those at Dulwich College earlier this month for a special panel discussion with Arthur Torrington OBE (historian and founder of the Windrush Foundation), Theo Lee-Ray (Director of Standing Firm: Football’s Windrush Story), and Sally Brown (Executive Producer of BT Sport Films).
Presented and narrated by BAFTA award-winning Benjamin Zephaniah, Standing Firm: Football’s Windrush Story explores and celebrates the impact Caribbean migration to the UK has had on English football and the national team.
The event included a screening of the film and a Q&A with the panel. Our boys had been specially selected by the English department and asked lots of insightful questions. Their behaviour was outstanding, and they were a real credit to the school.
Students are pictured here with Arthur Torrington and the film's producers outside Dulwich College.
