Interview Practice With Law Firm Norton Rose Fulbright
As part of our Top Talent Programme, a group of our Year 12 students were selected to take part in an interview practice event at the offices of Norton Rose Fulbright, a leading international law firm.
The students took part in competency-based interviews, as if they were actually applying to join the firm. To help students to prepare for the interviews, Esme Malley and Mark Lightbown, lawyers working at Norton Rose Fulbright, also visited our school to talk to our Year 12 students about their experience of working at a leading international law firm.
Students were provided with, for example, mock job descriptions in advance and were expected to do some research on the firm and the profession beforehand. At the end of the interviews, students also received feedback.
"I really enjoyed my experience as I was given detailed insight on topics I wasn’t too confident on," said one Year 12 student. "I also enjoyed being able to practice for interviews in the future and really liked receiving feedback on what to improve and what went well."
A huge thank you to Esme Malley and Mark Lightbown (pictured below), as well as Natasha Gada, Christine John and the rest of the team at Norton Rose Fulbright, who organised and delivered such a fantastic event.
