SEND Event for Pupils, Parents and Carers - Tuesday 21st March, 5.30-6.30pm
All SEND pupils and their parents/ carers have been invited to a drop-in session for us to communicate with each other, exchange information and offer us any feedback.
Several staff will be present with tables and information relating to many aspects of school life, with an SEND slant. Those present will include our Specialist Literacy Teacher Mrs Clark, and our Counsellor Miss Viller. There will also be many school staff available to talk about clubs, careers, the curriculum, and logistics such as homework and log ons. You will also be able to see your son/ ward’s current Personal Learning Plan, and be part of updating it, and ensuring it is current.
It will also be a chance for us all to celebrate the national World Autism Acceptance Week that is soon coming up. There will be a large display board with information, and more importantly lots of space for you and your son/ ward to add any comments, information or feedback about any aspect of Autism that you would like the wider school community to be aware of. You may also have comments or feedback that you would prefer to be private or anonymous, and this will also be gratefully received.
If you are a parent/carer of a Year 7 pupil, please be aware that the Year 7 Parents Evening is also on that evening from 3.30pm. You are of course most welcome and encouraged to attend both.
