Celebration of World Autism Acceptance March 2023

At Harris Boys’ Academy we are marking World Autism Acceptance Week (27th March - 2nd April), and the time leading up to it, in several ways.

Autism 1SEND Event, Tuesday 21st March, 5.30-6.30pm. For all SEND pupils and their parents/carers (separate invitations have already been sent to these pupils and families).

Whole School Form Times. All pupils will have a dedicated Autism Acceptance Form Time during the last week of term.

Book displays. We have many fiction and non-fiction texts around the theme of ASD in our library (pictured right). These will be displayed and accessible to mark the event.

Home Clothes Day, Friday 31st March 2023. This will be in aid of the National Autistic Society. Your son/ ward is invited to wear home clothes to highlight this important cause. Donations of £1 are welcomed and are used by the charity in the ways outlined below.
