Year 8 Reach Third Round of National Cup

For the second time this year HBAED Year 8s were out on the pitch, this time for the second round of the National Cup against Rutlish Merton.

After an early arrival at Peckham Rye Park, we were straight to training. The starting line-up was revealed as captain Zain led us on to the pitch ready to start. 

The first half whistle blew meaning we were on our way. A strong start put us through on goal with many opportunities coming out way. Our breakthrough came from a lovely ball through to Adeyemi who calmly and confidently slotted it home. 1-0. The match kept coming our way and we soon found our second goal with a classic strike from Jahmai. 2-0. 

Another confident start meant we were straight on to the score sheet from a smashing finish from Abdul straight into the net. 3-0. The game seemed to flash by until Nathan scored a bottom corner strike to seal the game. 4-0. 

An exceptional performance from Jarmani kept us the clean sheet and he was named man of the match. 

And we are into the 3rd round!
