Sci-Fi Author Simon Ings to Visit HBAED
We are excited to announce that sci-fi novelist Simon Ings will join us in December. We are running a Simon Ings short story competition in honour of his visit. Contact Ms Smith in the Library for more details.
Simon Ings' passion for science fiction is remarkable and a testament to the power of imagination and creativity. He is passionate about science fiction, cyberpunk, and nonfiction and has created a diverse body of work showcasing his unique ability to blend engaging storytelling with factual matters seamlessly.
His nonfiction works, such as The Eye: A Natural History and Stalin and the Scientists are excellent examples of his skill.
Ings' book, We, Robots, is an inspiring exploration of the possibilities of technology through an AI-focused collection of short stories.
His works are thought-provoking and encourage readers to question and imagine the world around them. Overall, Ings' dedication to his craft is truly inspiring, as he expertly combines science, fiction, and nonfiction in his writing, leaving readers captivated and wanting more.
