Year 11s in the Musical Spotlight!
HBAED Music GCSE music students took part in a ‘Showcase Event’ on Thursday 30th November. This showcase was a great opportunity for the students to display their talents and skills by performing their practice pieces for GCSE.
The audience were treated a splendid event that featured a variety of performances from different genres and styles.
The showcase was organised by the Music Department, led by Ms Bee, and ably assisted by our Peri teachers, Mr Cleasby and Mr Reid. The result was a high-quality and impressive show that demonstrated the students’ passion and dedication for music.
- The drummers performed with energy and skills: the showcase opened with a drum piece by Joseph, then further impressive drum selections came from Caleb and Preston.
- Our pianists, Ammar, Adam, Masud, David N-G, Leon, Dominik and Jamie did wonderfully well with their great variety of music.
- The guitarists performed superbly too, so big thanks to Son Thai and Edward.
- Last but not least, our paired vocal collaboration of Malek and Augustine did an excellent job with a some by Adele.
All performers received a warm and enthusiastic applause for their outstanding contributions. We also want to congratulate the boys for their supportive celebration of their peers. There is such a special feeling of teamwork within this group.
