Imperial War Museum Trip for Year 7
Year 7 recently enjoyed a trip to the Imperial War Museum, where they were challenged to make mini documentaries about artefacts found in the Museum’s World War II gallery.
Students were given the opportunity to film themselves talking about artefacts they found particularly interesting or were important for society with the model Anderson shelter proving to be a popular film set.
Students were also given the opportunity to look round the World War I gallery, where they could walk through a recreation of the trenches, try on replica uniforms or find the hidden answers to Mr. Barnes’ challenging questions.
They were also given time to look around the gallery focused on modern conflict, where students were able to see a replica of the atomic bomb and fragments of the World Trade Centre.
