HBAED Staff Conquer the London Marathon!

IMG 1601Mr Edwards, Teacher of PE at HBAED, completed the London Marathon in a very impressive time of just over three hours. He was running to raise money for a Sensory Room at HBAED, which will be used to offer support to our students with SEND.

Mr Edwards (pictured) raised nearly £3,000 thanks to the generous donations he received, and this will be an incredible facility for the academy.

We are very proud of the amazing effort from Mr Edwards. The dedication to his training and the determination he showed to gain such an exceptional time embodies the resilience we want from our students as Active Citizens.

Special mention also to Mr Belcher, Director of Sport, who ran for Cancer Research and has raised nearly £10,000 through this and a number of other extreme challenges. This is such an important charity doing such amazing work to fight cancer. It has special importance to Mr Belcher and the things he is doing to make a difference embody the ambition we want our students to have.
