MP Ellie Reeves Meets Year 13 Economics Students

Ellie Reeves, MP for Lewisham West and East Dulwich, visited HBAED today to talk to some of our Year 13 economics students.

"Ellie Reeves really cares about education," said Principal Chris Brett. "We talked at length about the challenges facing SEND students and the government's commitment to improve this area. This was really encouraging to hear."

During her visit Ms Reeves met A Level economics students who grilled her on the 2.8% unfunded pay rise for teachers and her role as a Minister without Portfolio in the cabinet. It was fascinating to gain an insight into her first-hand experience of running the country.

"It was great to welcome our new MP to HBAED," said Mr Brett. "With the redrawing of electoral boundaries, it is an exciting time for her as she gets to meet local stakeholders."
