Year 12 Students on Panel at 'Now Teach' Event
It was a pleasure attending the Now Teach event this week. The highlight was the impressive contributions from Year 12 students to the panel discussion on the impact of having career-changers as teachers in the classroom.
As the students showed, talented young people will always shine when they are given a platform.
The students also enjoyed meeting and networking with professionals from a wide range of backgrounds who had chosen to change career to become teachers.
Well done Mosa, Stanley, Mohamed and Rehan (pictured below with Mr Zaman) - you are all amazing and we all wish you every success in your future careers.
The teaching profession needs more career changers - who bring a wealth of experience that can benefit schools - to help shape young people’s futures; and, as a society, we need to ensure that young people from all backgrounds have a more equal chance to succeed in life.
A big thank you to everyone involved in organising the event.
