Future Pathways Evening Helps Students Make Informed Choices
To give our students the best opportunities to make informed choices about their future careers, we were pleased to hold a Future Pathways Evening last month, in conjunction with Harris Girls’ Academy.
All our Year 11 students attended the event and were given the opportunity to talk with representatives of some of our top universities as well as members of the business community and services who were able to give them an insight into the multitude of career choices available to them.
Students were able to find out what they can expect from university life and the entry requirements for the courses available. It also gave them the chance to talk with professionals about educational pathways, work experience and/or specific skills that might well be required in a particular profession.
The informal event was also open to other year groups and parents who took the opportunity to explore careers that they may not have previously considered and to understand the qualifications, skills and experience necessary to help them achieve their goals.
