Enterprise Victorious in Year 8 Faculty Handball
In preparation for the London Youth Games Handball on the 2nd April, we used the inter-faculty handball competition as final trials for team selection.
Unfortunately, Creative Voice failed to field a team so it was a three way tournament. The first match was an epic between Enterprise and Active Science. Enterprise, captained by Tayo but led by star players Subur, Larry and Tomi, were in scintillating form and stormed into an early lead with three goals in as many minutes.
Active Science came back strongly and made a good go of it with Joshua's shots too powerful for the Enterprise’s defence. Joshua ended up with all four of the Active Science goals but it just wasn’t enough as Enterprise went on to finish the game 6-4 winners.
World Studies were up next for Enterprise and although they proved to be tough defensively and hard to break down they struggled to create enough clear cut opportunities to threaten Enterprise’s rock solid zone. Final score 3 – 1 to Enterprise.
The final match was a battle for second place with Enterprise having already confirmed the title. In another intense game it was again the power of Joshua’ shooting that broke the deadlock for Active Science. Both Bilal and David were integral in controlling the possession.
Final scores
Active Science 4 – 6 Enterprise
Enterprise 3 – 1 World Studies
Active Science 4 – 2 World Studies
