Gallery of Great Art - Some of This Year's Exceptional Work
Lots of great work has been produced this term and we would especially like to mention all the boys who worked very hard to submit work for the Arts and Minds competition. Their dedication to the subject is inspiring and they should all should be proud of their achievements.
These two images are by Hassan, Year 10. Hassan has worked so hard over the past year to create photo realistic works with oil paint. He truly is a model student and an excellent example of Harris Boys' work ethic. Hassan has proven that if you put your mind to anything you can achieve exceptional results. Hassan will also be representing Harris Boys' at Key Stage 4 in the Harris Federation art exhibition.
This image is by Faizal, Year 7, who completed quite a sizable piece for his age. He is very ambitious and this can be seen through his tenacity to work hard to complete his canvas.
This image is by Isaiah, who has a passion for drawing but has just began to use acrylic paint. He has gained a lot of insight and skill through his practice over the past few weeks.
This image is a collection of portraits by 26 boys in Year 8. They had been working on tonal drawings for three lessons and achieved really nice results.
This image is by Yvan, Year 7, who has a great natural ability with water colours.
I am really proud with the progress that these boys have made. Also a special mention to a group of Year 9 students who don’t take art as a subject but have working collaboratively to create an artwork for the Christie's art auction. Details to follow!
