HBAED honoured in 2019 Social Mobility Awards
HBAED has been awarded a place on the UK Social Mobility Awards roll of honour for 2019.
We are one of only 98 organisations across the whole of the UK to be recognised in this way – alongside others including KPMG, Sheffield Hallam University, The Ministry of Justice, Newcastle University and BBC Sport.
HBAED has been honoured for its strong leadership and clear dedication to our vision that everyone succeeds and achieves their potential regardless of any personal characteristics, and that background does not determine outcomes.
“The awards recognise best practice and celebrate excellence and I am very proud of our students and staff for their huge dedication to increasing social mobility,” said Principal Peter Groves. “This dedication, teamed with a consistent drive for all students to develop, has enabled our students to achieve great levels of attainment and progress at Harris Boys’ Academy year upon year. Our place on the Roll of Honour recognises and celebrates this, and I am very proud of what everyone here has achieved.”
The UK Social Mobility Awards recognise and encourage action that will promote and increase social mobility within Britain. Find out more about the UK Social Mobility Awards.
