Sixth Formers Learn About University and Apprenticeships
Hope, Sixth Form student, writes about his recent trip to a special event about university and apprenticeships.
On Friday 22nd November, our Sixth Form students were lucky enough to visit the ExCeL centre in Canning Town, a national and international conventional centre, to learn more about universities and apprenticeships. This was a unique and informative trip which allowed us to liaise with universities and apprenticeship providers.
It was a very productive day which gave a much larger insight into life after sixth form, due to the information available at the event about apprenticeships and universities.
We were given books from various universities which covered the possible courses we could study, along with the A Levels needed to take those courses. Within the centre there were over 100 booths set up by universities, and slightly larger booths which gave demonstrations and a grasp of life in that career choice.
During this period, we were able to directly talk with university students who spoke to us in detail about their excellent experiences. Overall, it was a very pleasant day that the students enjoyed very much.
