Year 12 IT and Business students were invited to attend an insight day at the renowned financial organisation Legal & General recently.

Held at their head office in Moorgate, London, four of our sixth formers had the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers from across the industry. They also played asset management-related games and participated in an engaging CV workshop with one of their key recruitment agencies.

This was a truly wonderful opportunity and students had the chance to network with employers and learn professional skills from this industry. 

"The trip to Legal & General Investment Management was exciting and very insightful," said Omsai B, Year 12 IT and Business student.

"It has helped me to pursue a career in finance when I grow up. A few things that I learned on the trip were how to invest money smartly and what investment management groups would do when discussing how to invest. There were no boring parts to this trip as they had planned many fun games, an example of this was a trading game which helped us to understand the stock market better. If this trip was to come up as an opportunity for future Year 12 then I would 100% advise them to take the opportunity."
