HBAED in Top 20 Schools for Progress

Fairer Schools IndexHBAED is ranked in the top 20 schools in England and Wales for student progress, according to a new secondary school league table that takes into account the background of students. 

The Fairer Schools Index, created by the Northern Powerhouse Partnership, uses an adjusted Progress 8 score which takes into account gender and other factors, such as whether students are eligible for free school meals.

In the Fairer Schools Index, HBAED is ranked as the 19th best school in England and Wales for student progress. 

"Everyone at this academy has an absolute belief in the ability of every student to shine – no matter what their background, ability or character, and we are very proud of this recognition," said Principal Peter Groves.
