Lexi, Year 13, Offered Football Scholarship with American University
Year 13 HBAED student Lexi has been offered a scholarship to play football with the University of South Alabama in the USA.
Lexi plays for England Under 18s and has also played for Chelsea first team and is currently with Charlton.
“Lexi is an inspiration to the younger generation as she is the epitome of being ambitious and aspiring to greater things whilst working hard at her education,” says Ms Lukic, Deputy Director of English.
“Not only does Lexi motivate her peers at HBAED but she sets out to empower women to do exactly what they want, to be true to themselves, to have the opportunities to develop.”
Lexi studies CTEC Sport, Extended Certificate and Diploma, as well as CTEC Business, Extended Certificate.
“Studying sport has helped me to understand how my body works and recovers, energy systems and different muscle groups,” she says. “This is so important to me, so I can always try to prevent injury and ensure my career in football continues to develop.
“In lesson I stay completely focused, keep on track and adhere to all deadlines set. In some cases I try and submit my work in advance of the deadline to help me manage my time with upcoming games or training."
Congratulations Lexi, from everyone at HBAED!
