Year 8 Workshop on Building Resilience Against Violence and Extremism
To complement our weekly PHSE lessons, we work with external agencies who can share their expertise.
A group of Year 8 boys have attended a workshop today provided by Connect Futures on 'Building Resilience Against Violence and Extremism'. The boys learned about the different forms of extremism that exist in today's society and the dangers of gang membership.
"It was interesting to hear about the strategies gangs use to recruit members such as befriending and giving gifts," said Raeed.
Buddy noted: "hearing about how some extremist groups use gaming to groom potential new recruits surprised me."
