Principal’s Breakfast Reward For Top Performing Year 7-10 Students
Over the last two weeks we have celebrated the achievements of our 40 top performing students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 as they received their Spring term Principal’s Breakfast.
These rewards were given based on high scores in student’s Attitude to Learning or Attainment in their recent school reports. Students enjoyed a special breakfast with the Principal Mr Groves and Assistant Principal Mr Pugh.
Top Year 10 students
Top Year 9 students
Top Year 8 students
Top Year 7 students
- Attitude to Learning (ATL) is very important as it is a measure of a student’s positivity about their education. For their school reports, teachers awarded a score for students’ ATL and from this the top performers were rewarded.
- Attainment is the average attainment or grade a student received in assessments in their subjects for their last set of formal assessments.
- Exceptional students in these areas were invited to the Principal’s Breakfast, and all students received a congratulatory letter home, 20 Harris Points and a certificate that celebrates their success.
- Other students with high performance were rewarded too, with letters home and Harris Points.
It was fantastic to see such committed students being rewarded for their achievements. We are very proud of these students who are making their education a great success! There will be many further opportunities for students to be rewarded in Term 3 following final assessments for the year and rewards for Harris Points.
