Sixth Form Rewards - Go Ape Trip
On the 25th of March, Mr. Chan and Mrs. Okai rewarded 26 Sixth Form students with the chance to complete the Go Ape Tree Top Adventure at Battersea Park.
The trip aimed to reward students who have consistently met our expectations since the beginning of the term in terms of work rate, effort, attendance, and behaviour and celebrate the following students who were awarded Distinctions and Merits in their January exams.
At the Go Ape facility in Battersea Park, students were challenged with three different heights with different pathways. The challenges included several activities such as climbing, walking across the platforms, crawling, and ziplining, which was most of the student’s favourite part of the challenge.
Overall, the students enjoyed this trip. They were excellent at motivating each other to overcome increasingly complex challenges like the free-falling Tarzan swings and the high tree-to-tree crossings.
Our students enjoyed the practical elements of the activities as they all followed the extensive safety briefing by the Go Ape team, some asking insightful questions and learning essential life skills in the process.
What students said...
“It was an enjoyable experience and I enjoyed spending the day out with other students”. Jamie, Year 13
“What a lifetime experience and I recommend this to anyone who wants a try a challenge." Dawood, Year 13
